Prepare dough

Prepare puff pastry dough. Swipe up to see my Easy Puff Pastry Dough recipe for details.

Pour milk to a glass and add flour. Mix. Transfer the rest of milk to a pot. Add sugar and vanilla sugar. Heat, add butter and keep on low heat. When dissolved, add milk flour slurry and continue whisking. You need to get the cream consistency. Then place the cream in a cold place to cool.

Preheat the oven. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry dough. Make a circle with a plate. Prick the dough with a fork to prevent excessive rising during baking. Bake each layer until they are lightly puffed. Allow them to cool completely.

Place cherries in a colander and get rid of liquid and extra juices from cherries.

assemble cake

Spread milk custard cream on a plate. Place one pastry layer on top of it. Top with cherries. Place another pastry layer on top. Repeat, alternating between cream and cherry filling. Finally, top with the pastry crumbs. Then place the cake in the fridge.
