This flavorful and easy Asparagus Chorizo Quiche recipe is great for a lovely spring lunch. It is sure to be a crowd-pleaser πŸ˜‰

Which season is this recipe best for?

Asparagus is at its peak freshness during the spring months, so it is the ideal time to make this delightful quiche.

But, you can also use frozen asparagus and make this dish all year round.

Where can I buy the ingredients for this recipe?

I recommend you find all the ingredients for this recipe at your local grocery store or farmer’s market.

Look for fresh asparagus and zucchini in the produce section, and don’t forget to pick up a package of pre-made pastry shells from the refrigerated aisle.

Chorizo sausage can usually be found in the meat department, while staples like eggs, cream, and mozzarella cheese are typically located in the dairy section.

If you prefer organic or specialty ingredients, consider shopping at a health food store or specialty market for the highest quality options.

Can I substitute the ingredients in this recipe?

Absolutely!

One of the great things about this recipe is its versatility.

You can easily swap the chorizo sausage out for another type of sausage or even bacon for a different flavor.

Feel free to experiment with different cheeses or add extra veggies to suit your taste preferences.

Just be sure to adjust the seasoning accordingly for a perfectly balanced quiche every time.

Can I make this recipe part of a menu?

Definitely!

This Chorizo Asparagus Quiche makes a fantastic addition to any brunch, lunch, or dinner menu.

For an appetizer, serve this delicious Bacon Wrapped Asparagus.

For the main dish, you can pair it with Cucumber Radish Salad for a light and refreshing meal, or serve it alongside Oven Baked Fries.

For dessert,Β go with myΒ Mango PavlovaΒ orΒ Raspberry Pavlova. If you enjoy apples, try myΒ  Apple Cinnamon Cake!

Which drinks would you pair it with?

When it comes to beverages, there are plenty of options that pair perfectly with this flavorful quiche.

You may consider serving it alongside a glass of sparkling wine for a touch of elegance.

If you’re enjoying it for dinner, a light-bodied red wine like Pinot Noir or a crisp white wine like Sauvignon Blanc complements these savory flavors beautifully.

Of course, you can never go wrong with a glass of refreshing lemonade for a non-alcoholic option.

How long can I store this recipe leftovers?

If you happen to have any leftovers (though it’s unlikely!), you can store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.

Simply reheat individual slices in the microwave or oven until warmed through, and enjoy a delicious meal with minimal effort.

You can also freeze leftover quiche for longer-term storage – just be sure to wrap it tightly in plastic wrap.

Recipe tips & tricks

  • Pre-baking the pastry shell with green lentils helps to ensure a perfectly crisp crust.
  • Don’t overcook the asparagus and zucchini – they should be tender but still have a bit of bite.
  • Feel free to customize the recipe with your favorite vegetables, and cheese.
  • Be sure to let the quiche cool for a few minutes before slicing to allow the filling to set and prevent it from falling apart.

Enjoy this delicious Mediterranean Chorizo Asparagus Quiche with its savory filling, flaky crust, and fresh flavors!
